Growing as a Disciple of Christ in Worship this week
This past Sunday we experienced week 2 of our 3-week message series entitled Lest we Forget. This series of messages is focused on the teaching of Proverbs 3:1-6 seeking to remind us of the foundation upon which Faith Community Church was planted, developed, and continues in mission today.
During our first two weeks in this series, we have focused on the history and journey of Faith Community Center since is birth in 1976. During week 1, we learned about the Planting Years from its inception in homes and move to a shopping center and eventually to its present location on Wadsworth Boulevard. Last week, during week 2 we learned about the Developing Years - a decade under the guidance of David Dethmers in which the life and practice of the congregation was marked in ways still reflected today through Worship and Missions & Service. This coming Sunday, our final week in this message series will focus on the Faith-Forward years as we trust in God and continue in Faith's mission and ministry in the community.
