Ministry is done by people who are "called" and who lead according to the gifts God provides!

We are blessed to have a great many gifted people who serve, lead, and volunteer at Faith Community Church. Outlined below is a brief bio of a few of the primary ministry leaders God has called to Faith Community Church.

Senior Pastor:    Jeff Allen

Our family moved to Littleton from the west Michigan in 2005. Elyse and I were married since 1986 and are blessed with three children: Sandy, James, and Kristin. Our eldest resides in Michigan seeking a Physician Assistant degree and our son is attending college at CU in Boulder while our youngest is a student at Columbine High School.

My journey to ministry and to Faith Community Church has been a long and winding road. After spending nearly two decades in Sales & Marketing and Training with Fortune 100 companies, I began following the “call” to ministry that had really begun during my college years. After 3 years of night classes, I entered Western Theological Seminary on a half-time basis while serving on staff at Trinity Reformed Church in Holland, MI. After a total of 8 years, the "Graduation March" was played and our family was on our way to Colorado.  We praise God for bringing us to Faith and continue to look forward ... Alive with Expectation in Christ!

Diaconal Overseer:    Susan Keesen

Serving God at Faith Community Church is one of the highlights of my life. I arrived at Faith Community Church in 1987 as a single mother with 3 daughters. I was soon involved with the Sunday School serving as Superintendent, prior to the hiring of our first Children’s Pastor, and coordinating our semi-annual Blood Drives. Since those early days I have worn many different hats and been involved in and lead a multitude of Small Groups, taught Sunday School, served as a Deacon, and been an active member of Finance Team for 18 years. I have also been active in the Stephen Ministry program as a Care Giver and a Leader. I accepted the position of Church Treasurer in 2004 and, since my retirement from the Internal Revenue Service in 2006, have expanded my role to include other administrative duties. I currently serve as Diaconal Overseer/Executive Pastor.

Through my involvement in our Singles Ministry I was able to form many friendships, including my husband of 15 years, Duane. Duane is a Denver native and I have been proud to call Colorado my home since 1984. We enjoy traveling to my native Iowa to spend time with my 8 brothers and 6 sisters and have visited many locations throughout the US in our Fifth-wheel trailer. Duane and I live in a log home near Aspen Park and love spending time with our blended family of 6 children and spouses and 12 grandchildren. My interests, in addition to playing with our grandchildren, include knitting, sewing, skiing, hiking, jeeping, and reading.

Preschool Director:    Kelly McCormick

As the Director of the Faith Community Child Development Center (FCCDC) I am so honored to be able to be a part of your child’s life and to work with the families, staff, and community here at Faith.

Entering my fourth year at Faith where my children have both attended preschool, I have held various volunteer positions with the preschool where I have been blessed to work with wonderful and caring staff members and parents. When the opportunity arose to become part of the “family” here at Faith Community, I truly felt that God had called upon me to combine my years of experience in management and teaching preschool children with my faith in God, my love for children, and my strong belief in learning to complete the things that He has called me to do.

As a native of Colorado I love the beautiful outdoors that God has blessed us with. I enjoy hiking, camping, horseback riding and just spending time with my family and friends enjoying the natural beauty all around us.  God has blessed me in so many ways. My husband Bill and I have been married for 11 years and are blessed with two wonderful children, Katelin and Courtney. He has opened many doors for me along the way and shown me patience, love, and understanding. He continues to bless me with good health and a strong heart so it is with great joy that I am able to serve Him at Faith Community.

Worship Director:    Teri Jones

I am so blessed and happy to accept the role of Director of Worship at Faith Community Church. My husband, Steve, and I already feel very much at home here. Both Colorado natives, we’ve been married since 1986 and have two great sons; Andrew 23, and Christopher, 19. Music, and specifically worship music, has always been a huge part of my life. My father who loved to sing, had a beautiful baritone voice, and a heart for the Lord that was equally as beautiful. He passed his love for both on to his children, and subsequently, my two sisters and I are all involved in music and church activities at various levels.

In the early 80s, I toured parts of the U.S. with my band, Crimson, where we shared the gospel message through 80’s rock-and-roll! I have had the honor of leading worship and conducting the choir for 12 years at the Thornton Presbyterian Church, sung in many choirs and on worship teams over the years, and served as interim worship director and/or choir director at Grace Chapel for four years.  I remember one Sunday, a gentleman from the congregation handed me a small handwritten note. It said, “Teri – a woman after God’s own heart.” I cherish his words because he didn’t tell me how great the music was, or how wonderful we sounded, or anything of this sort. Instead, he recognized the most important element of leading others in worship - a sincere desire to touch the heart of God. This is the reason that the Lord calls us to worship, that we may respond to Him with adoration, respect and reverence for the One who has done everything for us.

Adult Discipleship & Care:    LynnAnn Huizingh

My family and I have been at Faith Community Church for nearly 20 years. My husband Murry and I have been married for 25 years and have 3 children who are growing up way to fast! Stephen is our eldest son, Jennifer has begun her freshman year at Metropolitan State College, and Karen is our  youngest and is at Thunder Ridgel.

I first began leading Adult Discipleship in 1997 as an Elder. That was the beginning of a long love affair with discipleship! I truly am fulfilled and blessed to serve the Lord in this way. Nothing brings me more joy than to be privileged to walk along side the adults of our church community as together we seek to understand how to live in the midst of the story of God’s revelation and grace. I have learned that relationships are the strong basis for all growth. Our relationship with God first prepares us and strengthens us to have healthy relationships with our family and friends. Our family and Faith community relationships prepare us and strengthen us to move out into a broken world so love by God to be His heart, eyes, hands and feet to those who need Him.  I also celebrate the opportunity to work with a gifted group of people in providing Care that is extended beyond the realm of small groups.  Praise God for the many gifts of God and the blessing experienced at Faith Community Church.
